Here we have have a rare pair of two (2) English c. 1836 antique Sterling Silver gold gilt Large Master Salt cellars by renowned London Silversmith’s Edward Jr. John & William Barnard. Each very thick guage Sterling Cellar is figural in the shape of a Shell and the feet are Conk shell’s. Gorgeous gold gilt interior on each. They measure almost 4″ long x 3 1/2″ wide and standing 2 tall. Very substantial and heavy. 9.5 ounces of solid Sterling. English marks on each with date letter, London and lion passant.
