Description: We honestly know next to nothing about these amazing little spoons (or salt cellars). We found them in an old trunk of my grandmothers, and they are all in near perfect condition, with no bends, dings, dents, twists, or scratches. The filigree work is incredible, and my photos don’t even begin to do it justice; these are some of the thinnest silver wires I have ever seen, some less than the thickness of a human hair! Each of the 6 matching spoons is about 4.25″ long with a 7/8″ bowl, about 5/8″ wide at the top and about a 3/16″ wide stem. The engraving or embossing on both sides of the coin bowl is equally spectacular, and each one weighs about 9.5 grams. The adorable little pickle? Fork is also about 4.25 long, with the same handle, but is only about 5/8 wide from tine to tine; and it weighs about 4.3 grams. The tongs are virtually identical to the spoons, with the same bowls and handles (and unbelievably delicate filigree workmanship), but they also have a small cluster of five flowers? Encircling a 6th in a sort of rounded pentagram shape, which has been attached to each of the two handles about half-way down. The tongs weigh about 20.8 grams.
