Pair 1920’s STIEFF ROSE Repousse. OPEN SALTS (Footed Cellars) & SPOONS. Vintage Stieff sterling silver open salts or salt cellars with spoons. Repousse ROSE pattern that is just divine! Open, footed salt cellar (12). No monogram or initial. Both stamped on the base with “STIEFF, ” the four pointed crown mark above “S” and STERLING. This crown mark was in use from 1920 – 1929. Each is also stamped on the base with “12” which indicates salt form. Each measures roughly 1.12 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide (2.84cm, 5.71cm). Matching Rose pattern spoons are embossed with “STERLING STIEFF”. Very good vintage (nearly antique) condition with only surface scratches to sterling silver cellar interiors and a few marks on the bases of the open salts. The spoons have minimal light surface scratches that I needed 10 power magnification to notice. Combined weight is 91.8 grams. Treat yourself or someone you love to these beauties.
