For your consideration is a RARE pair of Tiffany & Co. Vintage antique Repousse sterling silver salt cellars manufactured by Tiffany Co. Hand signed by the artist responsible for the hand silver-work. This particular set of salt cellars is very rare. Very few known to exist! BAG/BOX is NOT included. Marked: TIFFANY & Co. / MADE IN ENGLAND / STERLING. Salt Cellar #1 – Total weight 31.16g / 50.81g with Cobalt glass insert. Pepper Cellar #2 – Total weight 30.75 / 50.57g with Cobalt glass insert. TOTAL WEIGHT: 61.91g. 925 Sterling Silver 925/1000. Measures approximately: 1.25″H x 2.25″L x 1.65W. The firm was founded by Charles L. Tiffany in 1837 with John B. Young under the name Tiffany & Young. In 1851 John C. Moore & Son entered into a special business relationship with Tiffany. In 1868 the silverware factory of Moore became part of organization with Edward C. Moore becoming one of the directors.
