Here’s a beautiful vintage Sterling silver master salt with spoon made by Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh Scotland. The salt is in the shape of a thistle flower. There are three feet that are made to look like leaves. There is a hinged lid that does actually close. Sorry that the pictures don’t show this. There is a cobalt liner that must have been made just for this example. Also included is the matching thistle salt spoon which is also hallmarked. The salt measures about 2½ inches tall. It weights 56 grams without the liner. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no spots, dents or scratching. The glass interior is in excellent condition. It is hallmarked on the side, the lid and on the spoon. The date mark looks like s cursive capital E in a crest.
