A rare stunning Norwegian solid sterling silver gilt and white guilloche enamel Viking boat salt cellar. It is hallmarked 925 S. STERLING NORAWY with the makers mark of Theodor Olsens Eftf of Bergen and it dates to c1940-60. It has been beautifully designed in the form of a Viking boat with the sides being guilloche enamelled and is complete with its original glass liner. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The enamel is free from chips cracks and repairs as is the glass liner. It measures 3.25 inches (8.4cms) long by 1.75 inches (4.4cms) tall and weighs 41 grams including the liner. A very nicely designed high quality piece.
