This is a rare Gorham Narragansett pattern shell-motif sterling silver. 925, gold washed saltcellar with matching salt spoon. The Narragansett pattern is the height of Aesthetic Movement silver. The style 2040 features a shell with a coral branch as the footer, and the spoon has a shell with a coral branch stem. The cellar measures approximately 1.75 x 1.4 inches; the spoon measures 2.4 inches long. Both pieces are marked on the coral part with the Gorham lion anchor G hallmark, sterling, and the style number 2040. There is a monogram AB.
