Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Salt Cellars. These beautiful and impressive salt cellars are made from sterling silver. There design is a copy of a Georgian one used around the turn of the 19. The cellars are boat-shaped with reeded rims, Bright-Cut decorative bands, a vacant laurel wreath cartouches and they stand on four feet. They are hallmarked for Birmingham 1912 with the makers mark of Levi & Salaman. The cellars come complete with their original blue glass liners. Both cellars are in lovely condition with no dents or bruises and both stand nice and level without a wobble. The decorative work is crisp and clear. Please be aware that, after 106 years, there will be tiny surface abrasions and marks caused through use and cleaning. The inside of the cellars and parts of the bases are quite blackened (pitted) which results from the rubbing of the liners and contact with salt over the years. However, this is normally hidden by the liners. Both liners are in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
