This is a fantastic, complete set of six Sterling Silver Butter Pats and six Sterling Salt Cellars. The butters and salts have 19th century Gorham hallmarks. They have different hallmarks: the butters have a Lion standing on three legs and the salts have a lion on two legs. All pieces have an LB Monogram. The butter pats are 2 7/8 in diameter. The salts are 1 1/2″ across and 7/8″ high. The top of the case also has LB printed in gold. The sterling pieces have no dents or scratches. They are in a leather covered case that is 9 3/4″ wide, 8 3/4″ deep and 3 1/2 high. The inside of the case was made to fit the sterling pieces and felt lined. The inside of the lid is a padded satin. The center on the inside lid is marked with a gold Tiffany mark: Tiffany & Co. 550 & 552 Broadway, Gold and Silver Smiths. The case leather has surface rubs and light abrasions and the corners and edges have spots that have worn through. I did not polish the silver: very hard to photograph the shiny surfaces.
