This impressive pepperette is embellished with embossed and chased decoration reproducing the details of the bear’s fur and features. The pepperette retains the original fully hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced’pepper’ holes to the posterior surface. This impressive antique model sits to a plain circular base. Such original period pieces are becoming increasingly difficult to locate. This antique sterling silver pepperette is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the surface of the cover/head are all very clear.
