Early 20th century French sterling silver salt, cruet set with ornate floral decoration, made by Parisian silversmith Charles Barrier, ca. The set comprises of two open salt cellars with original glass liners and two small salt spoons. The cellars and spoons are in good condition overall and have not been monogrammed. As vintage items, they show signs of age and use with tarnish, faint surface scratches, and some wear to the vermeil interior of the cellars. The glass liners themselves are also in nice condition with no chips or cracks. Only minor imperfections from manufacture. Cellars and spoons are stamped with the post 1838 French Minerva 1st standard hallmark for. Salt cellars measure 2 11/16 inches (6,8 cm) x 1 9/16 inches (3,9 cm) and they are 1 1/2 inches (3,7 cm) tall. Spoons measure 2 7/8 inches (7,2 cm) long. The four pieces (without the glass inserts) weigh a combined 46,7 grams. Total weight with box is grams. The box is structurally sound but the exterior shows wear and the inside lining has some age tarnish. It is 4 1/2″ (11,4 cm) wide, 6 3/4″ (17,2 cm) deep and 3 1/2 (9 cm) tall.
