Augsburg Hand Wrought Solid Trencher Silver Salt IIA 1759 Judaic inscription. Presented is a hand wrought Neo-Classic solid silver salt with hallmarks for Augsburg solid silver by Johann Jacob Adam with a date mark for Silver made between 1759 to 1761 and an zig-zag mark on the interior bottom rim. I have posted pictures of my research on these marks in the photos above. This great Rococo style piece has a great hand inscribed Judaic inscription on the side with only a dent with a crack coming up from the scalloped bottom rim edge in the side and some scratches from gentle use and care in the height finish. It is an excellent addition for the silver collector and a great piece for the most elegant of settings and décors. I have an interesting assortment of items listed so please look at my other auctions. Measure: 1 3/8 inches high, 3 ¼ x 2 ½ inches across bottom. Weight: 2.2 ounces on my postal scale or 61 grams. Marked: hallmarks for Augsburg solid silver by Johann Jacob Adam with a date mark for Silver made between 1759 to 1761, and an zig-zag mark on the interior bottom rim I have posted pictures of my research on these marks in the photos above.
