Darringtons are delighted to present for sale this fine Indian Kangri shaped silver salt cellar. This delightful salt cellar made in c1890 from the Kashmir region in India, possibly Srinagar. The body is decorated in a traditional rosette pattern. It is well made and of a good gauge of silver. Silver in this region and time period is mostly unmarked. We have left it unpolished as it has a pretty rainbow patina currently. Weight: 1.62 troy oz total (50 grams). Width: 1.6 inches 43. Height: 2.5 inches 65.
