Please note: this vintage item is 83% silver and 17% something other than silver. The metal is thin. When handled, it does not sound like a silver coin – it sounds a bit tinny. Nevertheless it is entirely correct for the era and region of manufacture. This represents a Viking Longboat with raised chased patterns, stands on four legs feet. It has what looks like makers Mark for Magnus Aase, 830, N in Square, number 803. Approx Weight – 150gr. As far as I can see, it is in excellent condition, with no damage, dents, or obvious scratches although you should expect mild buffing. I have polished it using silver polish. Yes I know this isn’t standard, but it had fingerprints all over in the tarnish and it will tarnish again soon enough. The interior has a slightly more brassy color, and I wasn’t able to fully polish inside there. I tried to leave the patina inside the design for the contrast. My pictures show it before and after polishing as I was trying to capture all the details. Measures about 5 1/4″ tall (to the top of one of the dragon heads) and 8 5/16″ long (from nose to nose of the two dragons).
