This full bodied crab was crafted by the Spanish Silversmith Plateria Lopez. Pez in Spanish means fish and thus justifies the presence of a fish in the hallmark. This silversmith company was active already in 1918 & this unusual crab is in wonderful pre-loved condition & has been well cared for. The hinged lid functions properly and both ruby eyes are present. Approx measurements are 3-1/2″ wide x 2-1/2″ deep, stands 1 high and weighs in at 50.2 grams. The crab image is well known as the fourth astrological / Zodiac sign for Cancer.
