Up for consideration is a Beautiful and Rare Sterling silver Demitasse or Bachelors Coffee pot by Gorham Dated 1881. The Style is Aesthetic and almost has a Beaux Arts or JapaneseFeel to it, with the fine over hammering and the Die rolled palmate and swag borders top and bottom. The pot Stands 7.5 inches tall and about 6.5 inches from the end of the spout to the back of the handle. In addition the pot weighs a hefty 440 grams or about 14.2 ounces. This is piece is part of a rare E series line of Gorham silver. The pot is in good condition with no heavy scratching or dents that I can find. The lid fits well and tight and the hinge is solid. The Coffee Pot has been lightly polished by me, and fortunately seems to never have been wheel buffed or polished in the past. There is always some light scuffs and blemishes expected with a piece of this age and light usage. But the piece does seem close to pristine. Please study the pictures closely as they are part of the description. I will do my best to answer promptly and to the best of my ability. I pack my items very well. Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the items, I cannot offer replacements. Please check out my other auctions.
