A very handsome and usable set of four Victorian sterling silver salts beautifully decorated, each with a central circular vacant cartouche to the front. One has a tiny dimple or dint, insignificant but mentioned for accuracy. Each retains the original thick glass Bristol Blue liner and four original matching spoons are all intact. The salts and spoons all have matching hallmarks for London 1881 together with the highly sought-after Queen Victoria’s head duty mark. The makers mark is also present on all pieces for the silversmith, John Aldwinckle & James Slater. The set sits in it’s original silk lined presentation box in lovely condition measuring 8 3/4″ x 6 1/4″. Each salt measures 2 1/8″ in diameter x 1 1/4″ tall and each spoon measures 2 3/4 in length.
