For your consideration is a super pair of late 19th century Gorham sterling silver open salts with rare American brilliant period inserts. The sterling frames have nice scrolling open-work decorations, have three scroll-form feet, and are in excellent condition. The cut-glass inserts are also in excellent condition, except for one hard to see chip off of a high point tooth (see photo #10). The Pair is not monogrammed, and are marked with Gorham’s Lion, Anchor, “G”, “STERLING” and “2735” with a small date symbol that dates it to 1892. Diameter: 2 15/16 inches.
