Victorian 1880 set of (4) Banded Half Whiskey Barrel salt cellars with gold wash interior by Henry Bourne. This set of 4 salt cellars come with 4 salt spoons / shovels the dated 1891. Each salt cellar is approximately 1 1/2″ Tall, 1 3/4″ Tall with Handle, 2 1/8″ Wide (Top) – 1 11/16″ Wide (Bottom). Each salt spoon is approximately 2 7/8 Long. The set of 4 salt cellars with salt spoons weighs approximately 271.1 Grams. On average each salt cellar weighs 62 grams & each salt spoon weighs 5.5 grams. This set of Salt Cellars have English Hallmarks It has the standard Lion mark for. It has the Birmingham Anchor mark. It has the Queen Victoria Duty Mark used from 1838 till 1890. It has a letter date mark “f” which dates this item from 1880 (On the cellars). It also has Henry Bourne makers mark. The salt spoons have English hallmarks It has the standard Lion mark for. It has a letter date mark “r” which dates this item from 1891 (On the spoons). Overall all four salt spoons are in good condition with the gold guilt still intact.
