The wings are hinged to the body and the work is extremely detailed. [see photos] There are five crystal inserts, and two silver spoons. There is a crack on one of the inserts. The swans have maker marks on the bottom, two have a B 800 a crown and a lion and the word Germany, the others have 800 and a crown.
