Three Austro-Hungarian c. 1835 Solid Silver Pedestal Salt Cellars
SOLID SILVER SALT CELLARS. A collection of three pedestal form Austro-Hungarian silver salt cellars with knurled bowls. First picture left: Vienna, 1836 makers mark AW (possibly Adalbert Wandrich); Middle: Vienna, 1835 makers mark J, the third is apparently unmarked, marks possibly rubbed but it is apparently of the same design and period. It has been tested as silver. The 1836 cellar has some very minor dents to the rim and base only noticeable upon close inspection. The 1835 cellar is in excellent condition, no dents or scratches. The unmarked cellar has a 1 cm split in the rim, as well as several minor dents to the rim and one to the body, none to the base. Height between 7.5 and 8 cm; Width of rims between 7.3 and 9.0 cm.
