Parade Antiques and Collectables. 1822 George IV Set of 4 Sterling Silver Salt Cellars. An extremely rare set of 4 Sterling Silver salt cellars assayed for London and dated 1822. Finding a set of 4 is rare, primarily because only a large banquet table would need that many. As such a set of 4 is generally found only in large estates. The salt cellars are tastefully simple: boat shaped with a pedestal base. They all bear the demi-Lion Rampant family crest. The salt cellars are maker-marked “JA” for James Angell I. The condition is very good, with slight wear to the marks and minor oxidisation to the base. Size: 6.5 x 9.5 x 7cm Weight: 342g. Have a look at our other items.
