From his Taxco (Mexico) period, here are two silver salt and pepper cellars by William Spratling. Their timing is easy to find as the two. Hallmarks, the circular “Spratling Made in Mexico”. See photos 8 and 9 for the hallmarks. The cellars, raised on a wirework and beads base, do not have the same exact dimensions. One is 2″ tall and 3.8″ in diametre, the other a tiny fraction lower and 3.7 wide. The silver weights are 3 oz for the smaller and 4.3 oz for the larger one. The condition is very good.
