Elegant antique French Napoleon I era sterling silver double open salt, condiment or sweetmeat caddy, aesthetic styling with flower & cornucopia accented handle, lion’s paw feet, thick cut glass wells and wonderful condition! The entire piece, base, feet, well fixtures and handles are in a wonderfully simple yet elegant shape with just a hint of ornamentation represented in the tall center handle and under sides of the glass wells, very attractive! The tiny number “1” within those marks means it’s in. 950 silver 95% pure and higher than the. 925 standard for sterling silver. The silversmith marks are visible, appear to be “QB” around a flower and fleur de lis, but I’ve not been able to find a reference for the maker as of yet. A beautiful older piece, don’t miss it. A tiny nip or two possible to the glass or crystal wells but no chips, cracks or other damage. The sterling silver base and handle are also in great shape with no dents, damage or repairs.
