LARGE & HEAVY PAIR OF SALT CELLARS. A pair of early 20th-century (1920) sterling silver large salt cellars. The body with pierced decoration, gadrooned and wavy rim, each stands on four claw feet. The silver cellars are of heavy gauge silver, each weighs around 56g without the glass liner. The pierced sections are sturdy and not flimsy. Blue glass liners with matching wavy rims. They come with a pair of sterling silver salt spoons, by different maker but of the same period early 20th-century. Both are free from monograms or inscriptions. HALLMARKS: London, SILVER fineness 925. MAKER C S Harris & Sons Ltd. DIMENSION : 8.7cm x 6.7cm (3 1/2″ x 2 5/8″). Height 5.2cm (2 1/8). WEIGHT : Silver weight 112g excluding spoons and liners (317g all in). CONDITION: Good condition except one glass liner has damage on the rim. No splits or damage to the silver cellars.
