Presenting a magnificent matching pair of quality 835 silver and cut crystal salt cellars produced and signed by the renowned German silversmith, Albert Bodemer. These exceptionally elegant vintage salt cellars have been masterfully crafted into the figural forms of sleekly stylised swans. The elegantly curved swan necks and pierced wings have been crafted in 835 European grade silver. The finely detailed pierced wings have been beautifully decorated with relief Hildesheimer roses creating a charming ornate detail between the stylishly flowing feathers. The moveable hinged wings smoothly glide open to reveal the sparkling crystal. Bodies which form the divided salt cellar. The sleekly curved swan necks have been crafted with exceptional attention to detail, with organically flowing feathers leading to the delicately featured faces and fine beaks. The combination of quality 835 silver and sparkling clear crystal is exceptionally attractive, while the moveable wings add a delightful touch of whimsy to these beautifully designed and masterfully crafted pieces. These pieces are presented in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, losses or repairs. There are no major dings to the silver and the crystal retains a stunning sparkle with no frosting or clouding. These pieces have been very well cared for and present spectacularly. Each piece stands approx 70mms tall, measures 70mms in length and 40mms in width with the wings in closed position and 85mms in width with the wings open. Each piece is beautifully hallmarked to the front base of the neck “835” along with the makers mark featuring the initials “AB”.
