Antique 1900 German Solid Silver Pair of Salt Cellars Dishes Glass Liners Lot
Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this superb pair of Edwardian solid silver salt cellars having clear glass liners, as produced by Binder Wilhelm of Germany, c-1900. These cellars have been made using 800 grade silver, and each retains much of the original gilding to the interior of the bowl. Condition is good used overall, with damage limited to some gild wear to the silver and a small flake off one of the original glass liners. A very pleasant set of salt dishes indeed! Each dish stands about 3cm tall and has a diameter of about 4.5cm at the rim of the glass. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 63gms (with the silver accounting for 40gms of this). Don’t miss out! To see my other items! If you would like to view this item or any other, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Inspections are available seven days a week, with flexible timing. Sterling silver offered at William Sharpe Antiques is original and authentic, showing signs of use over its life. Unless expressly stated above, all pieces are free from major structural damage. However, normal signs of use including shallow depressions, fine scratches, and minor pattern and hallmark wear should be expected. All pieces (unless expressly stated above) have undertaken a very light polish with respect to the original patina, and a decision for further polishing will be left to the new custodian.
