A very fine pair of silver cauldron salt cellars with matching spoons. The cellars are in very good condition, with gilded interiors, and gilded bowls to the spoons. They are English sterling silver hallmarked for. 1909-12, and the maker’s mark is for the famous silversmiths Elkington & Co. The rims of the cellars have a diameter of 5.5cm, and they stand about 3.5 cm tall. The spoons are 6.5cm long. Each cellar weighs about 56 grams, and the 2 salts and spoons weigh 123.3 grams combined. The set comes in their original fitted box, with the Elkington. Mark stamped on the inside of the lid. Excellent condition- the set has clearly hardly ever been used. The gilding a touch lighter on the inside of one of the cellars. No dings, splits or repairs.
