Set of Four Antique Sterling Silver & Crystal Glass Salt Cellars – Frank M. My Mother loved the time & energy she put into minute details in setting a beautiful & yet efficient table for her guests. This love of detail is best exhibited in placing small lovely little salt dishes or cellars with spoons – at convenient spots on the table for each guest to use. This is a lovely & unique set of antique salt cellars in that it combines the use of sterling silver with the functionality & of a heavy glass base. It was designed by Frank M. Whiting who was an American silversmith in the late 1800’s – sometimes working for Tiffany besides having his own company. Each cellar has a beaded edge in sterling silver leading down to a crystal glass dish with a starburst design in the bottom. Each dish is clearly hallmarked on the side of each cellar as to its authenticity & maker. The set comes with 4 sterling marked spoons finished in a gold wash. This is wonderful old set & is in excellent antique condition. They would also make a wonderful gift.
