Pair of antique c1900 gilt interior sterling silver master salt cellars. Each cellar is 3.5″ long x 2 1/4″ wide x 2 1/4 height(at the ends) and the combined weight of the pair is 116.5 grams. The cellars are engraved on one side with a CEG monogram and on the other side with a lion crested coat of arms and the inscription’BE BOLDE BE WYSE’. They are stamped sterling on the underside of the base along with unidentified AGW maker’s mark and a pair of small lions. Also engraved with the date 1901. The pair is in nice condition with no dents and only 1 tiny ding on the outer edge of one base. The silver is clean and bright with no pitting. The gilt interior shows little if any gold loss.
