ANTIQUE English Sterling Silver Salt Cellar Embossed Faces Victorian Era 36.9g. The piece was cast in London, England during the 1800s. The oval Victorian style salt cellar is raised on four hoofed feet. The circumference is embellished with repousse work of roses and leaves. It measures 2 3/4″ in length, 1 1/2″ in width, stands 1 10/16 tall and weighs 36.9 grams. The bottom is hallmarked with the lion passant guardant for sterling silver, an anchor for Birmingham British Town mark, and date letter L in a cut-corner rectangle punch for 1860.
