Stunning Hallmarked Victorian Solid Sterling Silver Salt Cellar Made By. Josiah Williams & Co. Description – Beautiful antique 19th century good thick gauge solid silver salt of circular form beautifully embossed hand. Chased floral relief raised and on three acanthus hoof feet plus interior silver-gilt (Gold washed). The salt come ith is original solid silver-gilt salt spoon. Both salt and spoon fully hallmarked with the Leopard’s head for London assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid. Sterling silver, the date letter “I” for the year 1884 and the makers mark “G M J” which is Josiah Williams & Co. Condition – Spoon and salt In excellent condition. There are no dents, dinks, splits or holes, just a tiny dint to the underside of the salt, barely visible. Dimensions – The salt is 6.4cm in diameter x 3.3cm high, spoon is 7.1cm long.
