This beautiful open salt cellar is made from sterling silver in the form of a shell and it is supported on three feet in the form of dolphins. It is hallmarked for London 1865 with the makers mark of Robert Harper. This dish is in good condition. However, there is a light pea-sized bruise to the bowl above the back right-hand foot. As a result of this, the right-hand edge (looking from the front) is slightly lower than the right. Other than this, there are some small black surface spots (especially in the grooves of the dish) and there will be tiny surface abrasions caused through use. Length – 5.7 cm (2.25) maximum. Width – 5.7 cm (2.25) maximum. Height – 3.8 cm (1.5) maximum. Weight – 29 grams. The item “Sterling Silver Salt Cellar Dolphin Footed 1865″ is in sale since Monday, September 19, 2016.
