I dont know about you but I like to celebrate Christmas year round! To me, antique sterling silver pieces are like little works of art. Here We have a beautiful and scarce Gorham holly pattern nut or condiment dish, salt or butter pat. The Gorham repousse dish dates to the early 1900s. The back of the dish is marked Gorham, then the hallmarks, then Sterling, 874. The dish measures a petite 3 in diameter and about 1/2′ deep. Plenty of uses although I dont know if it was originally for nuts, condiments or salt. No major damage that I can see, only surface wear from use and polishing with some stubborn tarnish spots. So due to age this is not a mint condition item. I lightly hand polished it but I didn’t want to over polish because I think a little darker area in the background makes the shiny 3D design of the leaves stand out :. The shining silver would accent holiday decor perfectly. I dearly love collect use and sell antique sterling flatware so please check out my other items by many of the best American silversmiths including Tiffany and Co. Thanks for stopping by!
