1700’s ANTIQUE RUSSIAN STERLING SILVER OR BETTER SALT DISH CELLAR. NOT MARKED SILVER, but we tested with 18K Gold Tester and it DOES TEST STERLING SILVER OR BETTER SILVER. Dated 1789 on bottom stamp. Standing on 3 legs, it measures approximately: 1.15″ tall x 2.25″ diameter. Weighs approximately: 1.2 ounces. Stamped on bottom with several stamps: A. K, and a symbol which appears to be the city mark of MOSCOW. Condition: Needs to be cleaned/polished. One or two of the legs seems to be longer than the other–so even though it sits firmly on the table, it is slightly slanted. There are several deep scratches and milder scratches on the bottom of the item. One area of the top rim has been slightly dented in, but barely noticeable. I took photos in different lights to capture as much detail as possible. Thank you for your interest. Track Page Views With. Auctiva’s FREE Counter.
