A beautiful Victorian cased set of sterling silver salt cellars and spoons. The salts and spoons are all hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 with the makers mark being JMB for John Millward Banks. They have been beautifully designed with the slats being fluted and the spoon bowls in the form of scallop shells. The salt cellars interiors have been gilded. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The case is equally in superb condition. The salts measure 2.25 inches (5.7cms) long by over 1.25 inches (3.4cms) wide by 1.25 inches (3.2cms) tall and the spoons 2.75 inches (7cms) long by 0.5 inch (1.5cms) wide and the whole set has a combined weight of 38 grams.
