Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Shell Open Salt Cellars Hallmarked Birmingham 1904. On offer here is a Pair of Antique Sterling Silver Shell Open Salt Cellars Hallmarked Birmingham 1904. Kindly donated to St. The pair of salt cellars are designed in an open shell shape. Both come hallmarked for sterling silver. Their mark corresponds to Birmingham and they date from 1904. They measure approximately 6 cm (width) x 5.7 cm (depth) x 2.3 cm (height); together they weigh 17.98 grams. As would be expected of antique pieces, they do exhibit some signs of wear in places. For instance, the one salt cellar contains a dent (with a small perforation) towards the centre of its flapover region; both also show some light signs of impact wear. I have uploaded a number of photographs of the salt cellars, so please take a close look at these to help make your own assessments regarding their condition. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.
