Offered for sale is a set of four 200-year-old George III sterling silver salt cellars by Rebecca Eames and Edward Barnard dating from 1818. The set is not monogrammed. They have regency lion paw feet with rosettes and scrolls. The border is edged with cast decoration. The interiors are parcel gilt. Each salt measures 3-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches and stand 1-1/2 inches tall. Together all 4 salts weigh 11.5 ounces 325 grams. All four are identically hallmarked with five hallmarks for sterling, London, year letter C, king’s head and maker’s mark. All reasonable offers will be considered.
