Fine pair of English sterling silver salt cellars with glass liners. Beautiful reticulated design with gadrooned top rim on ball & claw feet. One has cobalt glass liner (chipped) and the other amethyst glass. Hallmarked on bottom rim as shown with marks for London, 1778 and a makers mark “J S”. Approximate dimensions: 3 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ x 2 tall. Silver content about 62 grams each.
