A lovely Scottish Victorian novelty salt, modelled in the shape of a thistle. Sterling silver hallmarked for Edinburgh 1884, and has the maker’s mark for Lewis & Alexander. It is 4cm high, and the rim has a diameter of 3.9 cm. There is a registration mark on the bottom. A few tiny dints to the rim. Hallmarks a little rubbed, but readable. No splits or repairs.
