Set of 2 George III English Sterling Silver Mater Salts with Gold Wash Interior and Armorial Crest Hallmarked RH for Robert Hennell date marked 1791-2. Presented is a great set of 2 George III salt Neo-classic salt bowl with a gold washed interior, high arched handles and a raised octagonal rectangular base with a great armorial crest on one side and a classic period mixed monogram of what I believe to be CBC. These great dishes are marked on the bottom for silver made 1791 for silver made in London by Robert Hennell. I have posted a picture of my research on the marks in the photos above. They are in lovely condition with only some pin-prick dings, some fine scratches from gentle use and care. The handle one side of both pieces have separated from bowl. These are great pieces with any number of uses for fine dining from salts to small portion starter or taster to appetizers. They are great pieces for the silver collector.
