4 pieces British hallmarked sterling silver salt cellars, with cobalt blue glass liners, sterling salt spoons. This beautiful set of salt cellars is octagonal in shape with pierced silver work around all 8 sides, sitting on 4 round ball feet at the bottom. The glass liners are also octagonal and fit the shape of the sterling part. One of the blue liners is slightly different on its side faces that are not seen when in place, but fits the sterling part the same as the others. The set is accompanied by 4 British hallmark sterling salt spoons. The silver portion of the cellars, all 4 of them, carries the same markings indicating they were made in Sheffield, in 1897. The salt spoons are near identical one to other, but in fact have very slightly different size bowls so that there are 2 pairs that match within the pair. Two of the spoons are marked as Sheffield, one 1919, and one 1938. The other two are marked Birmingham, one 1905, and one 1919. They are all vintage sterling pieces and in excellent condition, with no damage or bends. There are no monograms on any parts of the group. These salt cellars measure 1 3/4″ across the top, and 1 1/8″ from the bottom of the round ball foot to the top edge. The salt spoons measure 2 1/2 long.
