Lovely Antique French Sterling Silver Double Open Salt or Sweet Meat Serving Caddy. All items and photos are the express property of Antiques & Uncommon Treasure. No reproduction without prior written consent. We’ll be sending out sale notices and special deals to our’Favorites’ customers. Elegant antique French sterling silver double open salt or sweet meat caddy with acanthus accented center handle and thick blown & intaglio engraved glass! The satin-frosted & intaglio etched or engraved double cup of this one looks so much like fine Lalique glass items, doesn’t it, but we haven’t a signature we can rely upon to point to it being that. The silver is marked with a French Minerve #1, which guarantees we have fine. 950/1000 (95% pure) French silver here, though, and that certainly speaks to the quality. The silversmith mark is, unfortunately, mostly illegible so I’ve not been able to find reference for it. Use it for sweet meats at the table or side table, or as a large double open salt, it’ll elevate the elegance of your table. Possibly a tiny nip or two to the glass but no larger chips, no cracks, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for measurements. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important. And your ranking of our performance is also very important! We wish to keep our 4.9 – 5 star ratings in all categories. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replaceable. Please remember that when leaving DSR ratings.
