Victorian Hunt & Roskell Silver Master Salt Cellar Circa 1800. Hunt & Roskell were renowned jewelers and silversmiths on Bond Street in London who for many years held the Royal Warrant of Queen Victoria. The firm was the successor to the celebrated silversmith Paul Storr who had left Rundell, Bridge & Rundell to set up his own workshop on Harrison Street near Clerkenwell in 1819. For sale is this Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr, Mortimer & Hunt, 1847, Victorian sterling silver salt cellar o f open round form, slight shaped border with leaf clasped threaded detail, engraved crest, raised on three exquisite bold leaf clasped scroll legs. Used vintage condition, will show some signs of use, tarnish and surface wear as appropriate with age (See photos). The cellar does have a couple of very minor small dents (Please see photos).
