A splendid pair of English Georgian sterling silver salt cellars with gilded bowls and gadrooned rims, made by the distinguished London silversmith Thomas Wallis II in 1797. These handsome pieces remain in very good vintage condition, with surface wear consistent with age, and bear no monograms. Two refined salt spoons forged by the London silversmiths William Eley and William Fearn in 1815 accompany these beautiful salts. The elegant spoons have period monogram initials to the handles.
