Beautiful silver work, finely chiseled , typical from Empire decoration. Original crystal pots in good condition, no damages. The silver structure is stamped with the Rooster hallmark 1st standard from Paris (in use from 1809 to 1819, equivalent to current Minerva 1st standard), the guarantee stamps used at that time, and silversmith Jean-Charles Cahier’s stamp. JC Cahier was French Kings Louis XVIII and Charles X’s official silversmith (hallmark in Hebrew & french). It is in very good condition condition. Height : 15 cm (5.90 inches). Weight : Silver without cristal. 237 grams and second 218 grams. JEAN-CHARLES CAHIER PAIRE SALERONS DOUBLE ARGENT MASSIF EMPIRE ANTIQUE STERLING. PAIRE SALERONS DOUBLE ARGENT MASSIF. La structure en argent est estampillée du poinçon Coq 1er standard de Paris (1809 à 1819, équivalent au 1er standard Minerva actuel), Poinçon de l’orfèvre Jean-Charles Cahier. Cahin loue d’abord la boutique et l’atelier de Biennais situés au n° 283 de la rue Saint-Honoré (1821), puis achète son fonds de commerce (1823) [1], mais conserve sa propre demeure au 58 quai des Orfèvres (Almanach, 1830).
