“Empire Period Condiment Set In Sterling Silver: 4 Salt / Salt Cellars, A Mustard Dish, “. Empire period condiment set in solid silver, consisting of 4 salt / salt shakers and a mustard dish with their cobalt blue crystal verrines. Beautiful model from the Consulate period, the feet decorated with Bacchus masks, with birds that come to eat the bunches of grapes from the vine crown. The verrines are original. The set is available with a mustard spoon attached but very suitable for the model. The frames bear the 1st rooster 1st title of Paris punch in use from 1798 to 1809, the Parisian big guarantee punch, a goldsmith’s punch not yet identified, as well as the Goldsmith’s Association punch used from 1793. It is therefore very probably a production from the very beginning of the 19th century: Consulate period, circa 1800. The whole is in perfect condition for 2 salt shakers and the mustard maker: No deformation, no shine. The two additional salt shakers have an accident: an unsoldered spacer bar for a salt shaker, a missing spacer bar and a lack of openwork decoration for the second. The verrines are intact. Salt cellar height: 5.2cm Salt cellar diameter: 7.4cm Mustard height : 11.5cm Net silver weight of the set: 322g. We will be happy to assist in this. We will respond within 24 hours.
