Stunning Antique Art Deco European 800 Silver & Cobalt Glass Salt Cellar & Spoon. A beautiful antique piece masterfully hand crafted in Europe, probably in Italy, in the first half of the 20th century featuring a pierced Sterling Silver frame with geometric shapes. Comes with a round hand made cobalt blue glass insert that is in excellent condition without any major chips, cracks or repairs, just one small flea bite (see pictures). The tiny salt spoon features an angel at the tip of the handle. Very good antique condition with some patina according to age which can easily be polished away if desired. Measures 2 1/16″ in diameter and stands 1 1/8″ tall. The spoon measures 2 5/8 long. All silver pieces together weigh 16.3 grams. Stamped “800” (cellar) / “835” (spoon) for common European silver standards of 80% and 83.5% silver respectively. Both pieces also have unidentified hallmarks. A very beautiful and decorative piece!
